Delivery


UV Gear holds extensive stock in all product lines at most of the time. As such it is our policy to make delivery to you within 3 working days. In most cases, UK mainland delivery should be next working day if you place your order with us by midday. This however is subject to our delivery service contractors. We encourage all our customers to opt for Carrier delivery where possible. Royal Mail services are not what they used to be and delays can be commonplace. We may soon be stopping all Royal Mail options.

In situations where we are out-of-stock on a product line, you will be contacted by Email or telephone to advise of shortages and given a proposed delivery date. We can also suggest alternative product options if this be the case.

Where your order is urgent, please notify us in the notes section of the checkout page and we will attempt to meet your deadlines.

Delivery services are as follows:


UK Excluding Northern Ireland, Highlands and Islands:


Small orders under 2 kilos in weight will be sent either 1st class recorded or by carrier. In some rare cases, 1st Class standard will apply. 

Delicate items, bulbs, makeup and paint have to be sent by carrier irrespective of value.

All orders over 2 kilos are generally shipped by our carrier.

[Please understand that standard 2nd class post is not an option.


UK Excluding Northern Ireland, Highlands and Islands:


Small orders under 2 kilos in weight will be sent 1st class or 1st class recorded. Delivery is generally 2 days.

Delicate items, bulbs and paint have to be sent by carrier irrespective of value on a 2 day service.

All orders over 2 kilos are generally shipped by our carrier and take 2 days.


EU Community Countries:


Small orders under 2 kilos in weight will be sent recorded airmail (2-7 days transit)

Orders of certain items under 2 kilos that require carrier transport and all orders over 2 kilos are generally shipped by air mail or DHL/Fedex (3-7 days transit)

If you are a VAT registered business in an EU country, you must supply your EORI number for us to ship. 


Rest of the World:


Shipping orders to territories outside the EU are mostly sent by selected carrier (either DPD / DHL / Fedex / UPS) subject to order value and contents. Delivery time depends on region but all order should arrive within 10 working days.


IMPORTANT NOTE FOR OVERSEAS BUYERS:

Due to the variety and complexity of our product range and the enormous variation on packing and shipping options please note that if you are ordering in bulk from outside the UK, it is always best practice to contact us first for a shipping quote. Our on-line shipping calculator can "over-price" shipping charges as we have limited customisation of this element.


DELIVERY PROBLEMS:

Our carriers are given the contact details that you provide. If you do not provide a valid contact telephone number or email address then they cannot contact you. Where a delivery is either refused or you are not in to receive the parcel, DPD will notify you and allow 3 days for you to re-schedule the delivery with them. If they fail to hear from you, then the parcel will be returned to us and they make a charge for this. This charge will be levied on your account because both the carrier and ourselves have done everything in our power to complete the delivery contact.
