UV Reactive dye concentrate for oil based systems.
SUGGESTED APPLICATION DILUTION RATIO:
Light-coloured hydraulic fluid = 50 ml per 5 litres
Dark/intensely blue hydraulic & lubrication fluids = 50 ml per 2.5 litres
Compressor oil = 50 ml per 2.5 litres
New Engine oil = 50 ml per 5 litres
Old Engine oil = = 50 ml per 2.5 litres
Gearbox oil = 50 ml per 5 litres
Fuel (gasoline or diesel) = 50 ml per 10 litres
There are a lot of different factors which will affect how much UV Gear Tracer Dye product you will need. Differences include ambient lighting, existing oil dye, oil age and condition, purity, temperature and the power and wavelength of the UV Torch or light you are using. Below are some ‘rough’ guidelines to assist based on our own UV Gear torches and UV lighting devices operating between 365 and 395nm. For ultimate performance, we recommend 2 torches in our range to work with this dye:

Both devices will afford excellent performance with the later more suitable when working in daylight conditions
The Dye fluoresces brilliant yellow/greeen under UV excitation.
